I am a married, retiree living in Cary, NC. I spent the last 15 years of my working life at IBM in Research Triangle Park, NC. For me, having more time to devote to painting is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

I am a married, retiree living in Cary, NC. I spent the last 15 years of my working life at IBM in Research Triangle Park, NC. For me, having more time to devote to painting is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel, with camera and sketchbook, as far west as Australia and as far east as Kuwait, as far north as Alaska and as far south as Costa Rica. Landscapes are my favorite subject.
My inspiration comes from the photographs, sketches and memories gathered, at first, on business trips, then, while on vacation and just anytime I feel like taking a walk wherever I happen to be.
My training is a journey that started when I was a child and continues to this day. The formal part consists of six years of evening classes at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and a year at the Art Institute in Pittsburgh.
I am a member of the Fine Arts League of Cary and, for fifteen years have participated in various programs, shows, critiques and more. I have been lucky enough to win some ribbons and prizes.
