The Bodies of Water gallery includes all sorts of other scenes (not seascapes) that include water: waterfalls, rivers, lakes and other wetlands.
The Seascapes Gallery has all my beach and ocean paintings.
Beaches and oceans scenes are some of my favorite subjects.
They are done from reference photos from Carlsbad, CA; Honolulu, HI, Daytona Beach, FL; Myrtle Beach, SC; Hilton Head Island, SC; Wrightsville Beach, NC, Wilmington Beach, NC and Carolina Beach, NC.
Most are sunrise or sunset images.
The Flowers & Gardens gallery has paintings from reference photos taken at places such as Biltmore Gardens, NC; National Arboretum at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC; Balboa Park, San Diego, CA; and many other places.
The Grand Canyon and Sedona are two more of my favorite subjects. I have visited the area a half dozen times. Every once in a while, I have to do a painting of the Grand Canyon or Sedona. This gallery has those paintings.
The Snow Scenes gallery has all the winter scenes that I have painted. While we don't get a lot of snow in NC, when it does snow, I take some photos and try to turn them into paintings.
One of the best ways for me to learn is to copy paintings of the masters. The Copied Works gallery has all the copies I have made from my favorite painters' works. They are the ones from which I have learned the most, over the past fifty years.
