Still classes taught me how to draw basic shapes, (AKA the 'Bs': box, ball, bottle, bowl). They also taught how to draw drapery. These classes gave me a good foundation for the figure drawing/painting classes I took later. I did a sketch of the still life setup before starting the painting. The ones I saved are shown here with the finished painting.
